by Lang Leav

Lang Leav combines the best poems from her two previous publications in new ways alongside her latest work to create her most evocative book to date. Leav’s poems embody rather than express the complex emotions and experiences that emerge in the course of a relationship, especially – and most poignantly – love and loss. While Memories includes both new and selected works, it is not formatted in the chronological manner of traditional compilations. Instead, the book begins with Leav’s previously unpublished poems in part one, Here & Now. The second section, Remember When, re-imagines the poems from the author’s two previous books by mixing them together to create a powerfully new – and necessary – interpretation, spinning small straws into poetic gold.
