The author of Station Eleven has written a new bestseller entitled The Glass Hotel. This superbly written book looks at the insecurity of modern life, and how easy it is to lose one's moral compass when temptation arises. The many sympathetic characters live in very different worlds (from rural British Columbia to New York City to an RV crisscrossing America to a container vessel on the open seas) yet have unexpected connections to one another. A Ponzi scheme disrupts life for many, but other themes include the meaning of art and the need for a bit of magic in life.
