I am in awe of Ronan Farrow for accomplishing what numerous other talented journalists tried and failed to do, to expose the dangerous predator Harvey Weinstein and the powerful interests that sought to protect him and other abusers like him. Despite threats from his bosses, high-priced corporate lawyers, and shadowy operatives, Farrow uncovered the truth with the help of many courageous women. And he showed how confidentiality agreements that victims of sexual abuse are pressured to sign are commonly used throughout the media and entertainment fields. Two courageous and unsullied spots of light in the whole ugly business: The New Yorker Magazine and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.
