The three Rockwell sisters grew up doubting their mother’s claim that their father was absent from their lives because he was a spy, whose very presence might endanger them. Spoiler: It was true, and to their astonishment and consternation, they learn that during his absent years, he was also spying on them, making sure their boyfriends met his standards, and otherwise interfering anonymously in their lives. This latest amusing romp by Bridget Asher - aka Amherst author Julianna Baggott - shows that family ties can hold even the most unusual family together.
