Three generations of a family embark on a cruise to celebrate the imposing matriarch’s seventieth birthday. As it has been over a decade since they spent more than 24 hours under the same roof, togetherness does not come easily. But on a ship they can’t escape one another and or keep the secrets they have been hiding. For example, Freddy, the "family loser” is to his family’s surprise is staying on board in a suite with his glamorous new girlfriend, and wondering how to tell them he has raked in millions working in Colorado’s new legal marijuana industry. And Elise, the "perfect" daughter, has some big skeletons in her closet. Soon the Cruise Director has his eye on them, with good reason. It’s not smooth sailing for the Feldmans, but the voyage makes for witty entertainment for the reader.
