I've been waiting for a book to be published that will rouse Americans to confront the issue of climate change (as Uncle Tom's Cabin did for slavery). This may be that book. The author, a journalist and editor, has written a terrifying description of life after climate change. From the opening sentence, "It is worse, much worse, than you think," the author confronts the perils of heat, hunger, drowning, wildfires, economic collapse, and more.
