Jones Library, in partnership with Amherst College Mead Art Museum, will present a 3-session art workshop using curriculum created by Embrace Race.

April 1st We See Color Using simple art materials, students learn ways artists mix colors to represent our vast array of skin colors!

April 8th We See Individuals We will spend time observing similarities and differences in facial features and hair textures, then create our own self-portraits!

April 15th We Feel Seen Explore and draw diversity in our community. We will be inspired by illustrated portraits from some of our favorite books and will conclude our workshop by making a portrait booklet of friends and family!
