Museum Passes

The Friends of the Jones Libraries provide passes to area museums that library cardholders can borrow. Some of these passes allow free admission and others allow discounted admission. The number of adults and children admitted varies from pass to pass.

Passes at the Jones Library


The Jones Library is excited to offer a print-on-demand system for our museum passes. Patrons no longer need to visit the library to check out and return circulating passes. Instead, by making a reservation, you generate a single-use pass that can be printed anywhere and presented at the museum on the date of your reservation.

IMPORTANT: We cannot guarantee that our printable passes will be accepted. You will need to contact the museum directly to confirm that it is open and to determine if and how the print-on-demand pass can be used.

NEED TO PRINT A PASS? Consider our print-from-home service.
While viewing the pass in your browser or email, select print and choose "Save as PDF" from the printer selection drop-down menu. Then send us the PDF, we'll print it, and you can pick it up the next business day at the Jones Library.

Reservation Guidelines


  • Please check that the museum is open for the day you plan to visit. (Select a museum logo on this page to visit the museum's website and check its schedule.)
  • You must enter your CW MARS library card number to begin.
  • Your library card must be active (i.e., not expired).
  • If you have fees over $30 on your card, you will not be able to reserve or check out a pass.
  • Reserve your pass for the day you plan to visit the museum.
  • Passes are reserved for a single day, and are only valid for that date.
  • Passes may be reserved up to 60 days in advance.
  • Each pass may be reserved once per patron, per 30 day period.
  • Passes may be printed at any time prior to the date you plan to visit. (NOTE: At this time, none of our museum partners accept digital passes. All passes must be printed.)
  • If you lose your printed pass, it may be reprinted.
  • Printed passes do not need to be returned to the library.
  • Passes not shown online are no longer available through the Jones Library. Please see our list of passes available at our branches (below).

Free Tickets to the (Virtual) Symphony

The Pioneer Valley Symphony is offering free tickets to its virtual events to patrons of the Jones Library and branches! Visit www.pvsoc.org to see upcoming events. 

To get a free ticket: select a virtual event, choose 1 ticket, enter an amount you wish to donate (from $0 to $100) from the drop-down menu, and proceed to checkout. Then enter LIBR83 as the Promo Code and select Apply. The total due will be reduced to your chosen donation amount. Complete the remainder of the form and submit it. You will then receive a confirmation email and you will receive a private link to view the concert within 24 hours of the event.
