Karuna Center and Critical Connections

Sunday, April 30th

Listening, Learning, and Bridging Divides with a Muslim and a non-Muslim Community Paula Green, founder of Karuna Center for Peacebuilding, and Mehlaqa Samdani, founder of Critical Connections, will be guiding and mentoring this process. Our intention is to engage in mutually beneficial conversations, discover our common ground, and find ways to build solidarity and support at a time where stability and safety may feel threatened. We will begin with a separate two-hour workshop for each group, meeting in Longmeadow and Leverett to prepare for our joint encounter. We will then meet together for a 3-hour facilitated structured dialogue in Amherst. There will be 25-30 participants. The group will decide what might follow in the future, which we hope will be a continuation of building our circle of concern and caring.
